Office hours in this outpatient clinic have been extended to 6 pm.
This outpatient clinic provides specialized care for patients with heart disease. A full range of non-invasive diagnostics is used: ECG, ergometers, Holter monitoring of heart function and blood pressure and echocardiography. Patients seen at this unit suffer from severe cardiac dysfunction and are given specialized treatment. Superspecialised care such as cardiac catheterisation, pacemaker implantation or indication for cardiac surgery is also arranged from this outpatient clinic.
The cardiology outpatient clinic works in direct connection with the intensive care unit of the internal medicine department and cooperates with leading national institutions, for example, the Hospital in Prague - Na Homolka, but also with university-type institutions such as the General University Hospital in Prague on Charles Square, the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University, etc.
The Beroun hospital also has a well-developed system of preventive cardiology, especially for people with complex risk factors, which are treated together with other internal outpatient clinics.
