Characteristics of the workplace
The Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Haematology of the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun is registered in the Register of Clinical Laboratories of the National Authorization Centre for Clinical Laboratories at the Czech Medical Society J. E. Purkyně under the certificate number RKL 0377/801 and is involved in the quality improvement programme in healthcare guaranteed by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. OKBH Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun has successfully fulfilled the conditions of Audit II for specialty 801 according to ISO 15189 (certificate AR3-071-2022-0377-801).
The level of work and accuracy of examination methods is regularly checked by the internal quality control system and the external quality assessment system in SECK cycles. OKBH holds SECK certificates. OKBH carries out basic and specialised examinations of biological material of human origin in the specialties 801 and 818, consultancy and consular activities in the field of clinical biochemistry and clinical haematology for hospitalised patients only. It provides round-the-clock operation with a well-defined spectrum of acute, routine and specialised biochemical and haematological examinations.

- basic haematological, coagulation and isoserological blood tests specialised
- biochemical tests (determination of hormones, tumour markers, drug concentrations and other tests in various biological materials, functional tests - including precise instructions
for their performance)
- consulting and consultancy services in the field of clinical biochemistry and clinical haematology
- related logistical services associated with laboratory testing (dispensing of special sampling and ancillary materials, transport of materials including collection of materials from the catchment area, collection point for other laboratories)
- comprehensive safe and secure access to and processing of data in the laboratory information system - results can be sent electronically.
