The e-bike sharing network offers environmentally friendly and cheap transport where there is heavy car traffic on the streets or crowded parking lots. Since traffic in Beroun has been one of the most discussed topics for many years, the city and its partners decided to make the congested traffic a little bit easier.
One charging station for e-bikes can now also be found in the parking lot of the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital. Nine more are located around Beroun, three in Králov Dvůr and one charging stand each in Tetín and Hýskov. .
Instructions for using the e-bikes are simple and are posted on the rack at each docking/charging station. You can also use the mobile app.
You can rent a bike at the station of your choice and get on your way, with the first 15 minutes of the ride free. If the journey takes longer, each half hour is charged at CZK 30.
The deputy mayor Dušan Tomčo agreed with Sotirios Zavalianis, owner of AKESO Holding, to build a charging station on the premises of our hospital in March last year. "According to surveys, e-bikes are the ideal mode of transport within a distance of 5 km. They are cheap and environmentally friendly at the same time. We have already received inquiries about whether stations will be built in other parts of Beroun. I would like to point out that this is a pilot project with the first stations in the city's cadastre. If this idea catches on among citizens, it will be possible to expand the network of stations to other locations," said Dušan Tomčo.
