Dear Owner, Director and Chief physician,I was hospitalised at your hospital from 16 June to 6 July 2026 following a total hip replacement (THR) on my right hip. For the first time in my life, I had the opportunity to experience what it is like ‘from the other side’. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to the Chief Physician, Dr Milena Kolářová, her entire team and all the staff who looked after me during my stay at your hospital. Thank you to all the nurses, carers and, in particular, the entire team of physiotherapists, without whose excellent care I could not have imagined returning home. I have now had a follow-up check-up seven weeks after the operation and I am doing well, without crutches or painkillers, and am returning to practically all my usual activities. With respect and gratitude.

Dear Director,on 16 July 2026 I was admitted to the surgical ward at Beroun Hospital for a planned cholecystectomy. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to the entire team at the Day Surgery Unit, led by Chief Physician Dr Petr Zeithaml, for the exceptionally professional, friendly, considerate and kind care I received during my stay. This was not my first hospital stay, nor my first operation, so I am in a position to compare, but I have never encountered such an approach to patients anywhere else. From the moment I was admitted, settled into my room, and given an explanation of the procedure, through the pre-operative information and post-operative care after being transferred back to my room, to the chief physician’s subsequent visit and the information provided after the procedure, right through to the telephone enquiry after my discharge to check on my health and how I was feeling, and to ensure everything was alright – I really have nothing but praise, and I won’t forget this level of care for a long time. Last but not least, I must also praise the very pleasant surroundings and, in particular, the air-conditioned rooms and their facilities, including the bathroom facilities and cleanliness – simply excellent. To everyone, especially my loved ones whom I care about and who may need medical care, I will highly recommend the hospital in Beroun. I would therefore like to take this opportunity to thank Chief Physician Zeithaml and his team very much for their truly outstanding and unrivalled care, willingness to help and attentiveness.

Dear Director, Dear Chief physician, please allow me to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks for the excellent care I received at the MRI unit of the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun during my examination on 24 June 2026. From the very first point of contact, I was very pleasantly surprised by the exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional attitude of all the staff. I appreciate their kindness, empathy, patience and clear communication both before and during the scan. Thanks to their approach, the entire scan took place in a calm and pleasant atmosphere, which provides vital support for the patient. I would also like to highlight the speed with which the results were processed and the staff’s willingness to provide them. Although I live quite a distance away, every effort was made to accommodate me and everything went smoothly. Such an approach is not to be taken for granted, and I appreciate it very much. I would like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere thanks and express my deep respect and admiration for the demanding, complex work – often carried out in a stressful environment – which all staff, from physicians to nursing assistants, perform with immense empathy, kindness and profound humanity. I personally had the opportunity to experience the work and meet the staff during a 17-day stay this May in the ICU of the RNB Internal Medicine Department.I was brought in by the ambulance service, assisted by the fire brigade, whilst in a serious condition. Despite all my disabilities, the staff managed to treat me without any restrictions, just like any other patient.The daily visit by a physiotherapist is a brilliant idea. Not only do they ‘stretch’ and exercise a bedridden patient as far as their abilities allow, but, more importantly, they advise on how to exercise and build strength, even though I am bedridden.The entire staff were brilliant; it’s hard to single anyone out.Perhaps Dr Hojka, my attending physician, who, in addition to his unquestionable expertise, is able to explain my medical condition and its expected progression in detail and in a way that’s easy to understand.Then there were the nurses Lenka Miková and Martina Janečková, who were skilled and helpful, and I’d go so far as to say that we ‘clicked’ on a personal level and shared a sense of humour (it’s not just dressings, drips and pills that heal) and, last but not least, ward assistant Maria Kutsin, whose almost unbelievable care and gentleness in treating painful pressure sores is exemplary.
Once again, my admiration and many thanks for your demanding work, and my deepest gratitude.

Dear Director,I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for my (repeat) stay at your hospital. I wanted to write to you to say how much I appreciate the work of all the staff, who work here with incredible kindness, patience and willingness.
The hospital is modern, beautifully equipped and has a very pleasant atmosphere. However, I believe that the most valuable thing that makes it a truly exceptional place is the staff themselves, who put their hearts into their work and always have a smile on their faces. A huge thank you goes to my physiotherapist, Šárka Machyniaková, who patiently worked with me every day, supported me and gave me energy and motivation. I greatly appreciate her professionalism, her kind approach and the care she gave me.But thanks are also due to all the other staff and therapists for the treatments, which helped me enormously and were also a wonderful experience (even if sometimes painful). I really enjoyed the exercises in the pool and the gym, as well as the other treatments. There were moments of active rehabilitation, but also moments of rest and recovery – massages, carbonated baths, the whirlpool… I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent swimming in the pool.
I’d also very much like to mention the occupational therapy workshop, which I’d been looking forward to ever since my last hospital stay. Crafting was a wonderful part of my last two stays – it helps improve fine motor skills, but it also allows you to relax, keeps your mind occupied with something pleasant, and brings joy from what you create.
This time I was accommodated in Ward I3 (having previously been in I2 twice), and during all my stays I had the chance to meet lots of kind, helpful and cheerful nurses, who were always ready to help and for whom nothing was too much trouble.
I also really appreciate the excellent food – varied, with plenty of vegetables. The interesting dishes were not only tasty but also beautifully presented.
Thank you for the care, the compassion and the atmosphere you create in the hospital. I am leaving not only with the feeling that you have helped me recover, but also with the sense that I was in a place where people do their work with genuine care.

Good morning, Beroun Rehabilitation Centre, I would like to take this opportunity to provide some feedback following the end of my stay and, at the same time, to thank you for the care you have shown for my health. I am leaving with a positive feeling and the prospect of a better future thanks to the professional care provided by your staff, particularly the well-chosen treatment plan devised by Dr Michaela Králováand her colleagues, the chief physician and her deputy chief physician. As for the food, I can commend the truly high-quality ingredients; the meals were always delicious and we often felt as though we were in a restaurant. Your rehabilitation centre clearly knows what it’s doing, and does it very well – judging by the feedback from other guests I spoke to. These include the nurses, the nursing assistants, and the rehabilitation team on this floor – in particular the Physiotherapist Ms Jana Preislerová, DiS. My heartfelt thanks also go to all of them.
The same applies to all the hydrotherapy staff, particularly Ms Z. Levová and her son Kuba – for their wonderful, compassionate approach to patients. The exercises in the gym or in the pool, led by physiotherapist Mr Jan Kebrle, were conducted to a high professional standard in every respect and always delivered the expected results, as did the highly professional work of the masseur Mr Čáp, after whose massages I always felt immense relief from pain and a sense of complete relaxation.

Dear Dr Sedláček,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the care you have provided for our father, Mr V. M.
For over a year, with your help, we have been treating the wounds on his legs caused by severe diabetes. Thanks to this, he was able to spend this time at home with his wife, surrounded by his family and his beloved garden.
A month and a half ago, when he unfortunately fractured his leg at the neck and was subsequently admitted to the Beroun Long-Term Care Hospital, it became clear that the damage to his legs had progressed to such an extent that it was no longer possible to reverse the condition. Once again, you were there for us, helping with dressings and providing invaluable emotional support during the most difficult time, as my father was passing away.

Thank you for the care provided to my ex-husband, Mr S. Č., who was hospitalised at your hospital for 14 days at the end of March and beginning of April. As visits were prohibited, I spoke to the doctor almost every day and was readily provided with information about his condition, which improved gradually from the start of his hospitalisation. I am writing to send you a few brief lines regarding the treatment I received in the A&E department of your hospital, which I was forced to visit on Saturday 23 March 2024, accompanied by my wife. My diagnosis is not important. What I do consider important is the manner in which I was received and the care I received from you. Dr Lukáš Grulich and the nurse, whose name I unfortunately do not know, were truly professional, attentive, helpful, accommodating and empathetic. As my wife and I were leaving, we both agreed that we had never before encountered such an approach anywhere in the healthcare system, let alone in A&E. And when Dr Grulich rang me again today to check how I was getting on and whether everything was all right, I simply couldn’t resist writing to you.

Last but not least, I would like to highlight the professional work of the physiotherapist, Mr Čáp, whose massages always left me feeling immense relief.

Dear Mr Zavalianis,
I would like to take this opportunity to express my admiration for the way you manage and develop the hospitals in Hořovice and Beroun.
Last week, I underwent a rather complicated hernia operation in Hořovice. The standard of care was excellent throughout. I would like to thank the Chief Physician, Dr Zeithaml, and his team for their outstanding care.
On the evening after the operation, I suffered a brief episode of dizziness, and within one minute of ringing the bell, a qualified nurse and a physician were by my side. I have experience of top-class clinics in Prague, but in terms of patient care, your facility far surpasses them. Everything ran flawlessly.
In this context, I find myself wondering why things work so well here, whilst elsewhere they face problems?
I wish you every success in implementing your further ideas for the development of the hospitals in Beroun and Hovořice.

Today I completed my rehabilitation stay at your facility.
The original plan was for a 14-day rehabilitation programme following a total knee replacement.
After familiarising myself with the activities of the department in Building E, I immediately requested an extension for a further week.
I have not regretted it for a single minute.
Excellent physicians. Top-class physiotherapists. Helpful and friendly nurses and other staff. A clean and cosy environment, including excellent facilities. A beautiful park.
I mustn’t forget to mention the very tasty and varied meals.
You are true professionals, a team that cares about patient satisfaction!

From 5–9 December 2023, I was admitted to RNB following shoulder surgery. On the second day after the operation, whilst in Rehabilitation Ward E, I suffered a sudden collapse and loss of consciousness. As a result, I was referred by my attending physician, Dr Gabriela Chytrová, for a check-up at Hospital Hořovice, etc., etc. Fortunately, nothing serious was found there, and I was returned to RNB for further treatment.
Upon my return from Hospital Hořovice, the doctor took great care of me, constantly monitoring my condition – and, in my opinion, going above and beyond the call of duty. In other words, I would like to thank her very much, through you, for her service and approach, and wish her and the entire team of nurses all the best.

Dear Ms N. Petsini, Director of the Beroun Nursing Home,
Please allow me to inform you of my complete satisfaction with the conduct and approach of the physicians on duty on 10 November this year, from approximately 12.30 pm to 8.00 pm. Above all, however, I would like to highlight the swift and professional conduct of the nurse who was apparently on night duty, whilst I was waiting for my family to collect me after being discharged at around 6.00 pm. At that time, a lump had formed on my right wrist at the site of the SKG injection. I knew from my previous experience at NnaH that the nurses kept a close eye on this in all patients. That is why I knocked rather loudly on the door, which the nurse then opened for me. When she saw my wrist, she immediately put a compression bandage on it, thereby preventing possible arterial bleeding and other complications. I am very grateful to the nurse on duty for that. She also advised me to apply ice to the injection site at home.
After this experience, I simply regarded my right hand as a bit of a showpiece the following day, and everything is fine.

I would like to commend Mr Jirava from the reception desk at the physiotherapy department. The physiotherapy times didn’t suit me. Mr Jirava adjusted the physiotherapy times to suit me, as I rely on public transport. Mr Jirava is very kind and patient; he has an analytical mind, is able to handle a phone call whilst carrying out administrative work, and even advises his colleagues. He is the right person for the job. It is a pleasure to deal with and communicate with him.

E., who is 11 years post-stroke, was admitted there. She was admitted for rehabilitation following surgery for a fractured femoral neck under the care of Chief Physician Dr Milena Kolářová. I have never met such a kind and helpful person as this Chief physician. Under her leadership, this rehabilitation department is in the very best of hands. I would also like to thank the very pleasant Ms Martina Kasíková at patient admissions. She is also a very helpful and accommodating lady. Last but not least, I would like to thank the attending physician, Dr Adam Bouš, on Ward E.1, first floor. He is a very young but capable physician. And I must also thank the ward nurse, Ms Jana Smržová, and her entire team, including the nursing assistants. They looked after my wife very well. High praise for this entire team of healthcare professionals.

Fliglová, who was on night duty in the internal medicine A&E that night, was absolutely perfect!!! Empathetic, experienced, and kind! They were all thoroughly professional, kind and caring, and it was clear they took a genuine interest in the patient and their condition. I would particularly like to single out Mr Andrej Štora, who looked after me with great care. He was always well prepared for every appointment. It was clear that he proactively discussed my condition with his colleagues and consulted specialist literature, and that he genuinely cared about my recovery. Despite his young age, his professionalism and eagerness to learn are to be commended. If my shoulder ever does recover, it will be thanks to your staff and, of course, your management.

I also greatly appreciate the pleasant environment and the facilities, which have been thought through down to the last detail. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Beroun Hospital for their professional and compassionate care of my daughter, L.H., on Wednesday 31 May 2023.
My three-year-old daughter needed her hand treated after a fall during a nursery school outing and, as a frightened three-year-old, was predictably tearful and uncooperative. Naturally, this situation was stressful for me too, because although I am a healthcare professional myself, in this situation I was ‘just’ the parent of an injured child. In any case, my daughter and I were met with a truly wonderful attitude – literally from the gatehouse, through the reception, to the staff we met in the corridors, the radiology assistants, right through to the team who looked after us in the surgical outpatient clinic.
I truly hold my fellow healthcare professionals in very high regard; despite their heavy workload, they behave not only professionally but also with genuine kindness. And I would ask you to ensure that at least this written thank-you and recognition of their work reaches them. I particularly appreciate the fact that I was fully involved in my child’s treatment, that there were absolutely no attempts to separate my daughter from me, and the kind communication directly with my daughter.
My daughter was treated on 31 May before midday; the attending physician at the surgical outpatient clinic was Dr Milan Píša. Unfortunately, I do not know the names of the nurses, nursing assistants and radiology assistants, but I would like to thank them too for their care and kind words.

Hello, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for the wonderful care provided by the whole rehabilitation department. I was admitted to Building I on the 3rd floor. All the nurses and carers were very kind and helpful; they always made sure, before leaving my room, that I really didn’t need anything else. I really felt wonderful throughout my entire stay, and it was important to me to know that, whatever happened, I had someone to turn to. Dr Eliška Bečková always came in with a smile and helped me a great deal; she took my unpleasant tingling in my leg seriously and prescribed treatments and medication that brought me great relief. All the therapists were also very kind and were always able to help and offer advice; the exercises were of great benefit to me.
Thank you, and if possible, I’d be happy to return to the department for some further rehabilitation.

Dear Director, Following my total hip replacement operation, which was performed by Chief Physician Dr Pastucha at Hospital Hořovice, I was transferred directly from the hospital to your RNB. Although the booking was made on the very day the operation was recommended, everything that had been agreed was completed on schedule, approximately three months later.
Before the operation, I was worried about how long the rehabilitation would take and what to expect. I was admitted to Ward D2, where I was assigned a physiotherapist called Kamila. This nurse is still awaiting her specialisation certification, but the standard of her rehabilitation work was nothing short of top-class! Fourteen days after the operation, I was walking pain-free without any major problems. Admittedly, it was with a walking frame, but I was walking. She got me to such a state that, three weeks after the operation, I got behind the wheel and managed the drive without any trouble. Even during the transfer to my accommodation, I managed the journey whilst seated. ‘Golden hands’!!
I’d also like to thank the entire staff. Starting with the support staff, who kept our rooms spotless, the corridors as clean as a whistle, and ensured there was a constant supply of drinks. The wonderful nurses, who went above and beyond in their care for us. Every day they toiled to help us put on our compression stockings – and what hard work that was! Round the clock, they not only looked after us, but helped with everything we needed.
A huge thank you to Dr Brabcová, who visited us in our rooms twice a day and took a genuine interest in our health. If anything needed changing, she did so immediately, without delay. The Head of Department’s visits to our rooms were not merely routine visits, but showed a genuine concern for our health. No one was overlooked. Nothing was done in vain throughout our stay; everything had a purpose.
My father, who has sadly since passed away, would certainly have been more than proud of such a team of staff in his capacity as chief physician of the Infectious Diseases Department, and so I would like to thank you and everyone who played a part in my treatment. A huge thank you for enabling my smooth return to normal life at the age of 69.

Good morning, Chief physician.
My name is J. K. At the end of November and beginning of December, I was admitted to your Rehabilitation Centre. The reason for my decision to subsequently make use of the specific services (rehabilitation procedures) provided by RNB was an operation on my left knee (total knee replacement), which was carried out to perfection by Dr Jan Kotaška at Motol University Hospital.
Now, a week after returning home from the RNB, as I look back on my rehabilitation stay, I recall with pleasure and great gratitude and appreciation the wonderful environment and the dedicated and professional approach of all the staff I came into contact with. In particular, I remember my attending physician, Dr Dvořák, with great appreciation, as well as the excellent physiotherapists – especially the high level of expertise demonstrated by Ms Jana Preislerová. Nor do I wish to overlook the impeccable care provided by the teams of nurses and other staff.
From my point of view, all of them undoubtedly contributed significantly to the surprisingly rapid improvement in the mobility of my left leg! That’s why, on the ninth day of my stay, I was already able to try out and start exercising on the exercise bike! Now, at home on the exercise bike, I can easily ‘cover’ 4 km four times a day. My crutches are now more of a hindrance than anything else. That really is a remarkable result! I’m confident that, together with the other rehabilitation exercises I’ve learnt, all the unpleasant post-operative limitations will disappear very soon.
For all this, a huge thank you and my deepest appreciation go to you, Chief Physician, and your wonderful team! Above all, I wish you all good health and the well-deserved joy and satisfaction you get from your work.

Dad arrived as a bedridden patient, and the rehabilitation and care helped him improve to the point where he could sit up. Throughout my stay, I was extremely satisfied with the care provided by the physicians and other medical staff, both in Ward D (1st floor) and after I was moved to Ward I (3rd floor). The nursing staff looked after us patients in an exemplary manner; every day I encountered a high level of professionalism and expertise. I also regularly encountered the therapists’ kind approach in the gyms. I rate the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun as a ‘top-class facility’, which I will praise and recommend wherever I go.

Dear Chief Physician, a few days ago I was discharged from your hospital after a three-week stay following arthroscopy for a frozen shoulder. I was in pain when I was admitted, but I was hopeful that perhaps, at last, I would find somewhere that could help me and that would be genuinely committed to my recovery. The way you and everyone at your centre treated me far exceeded my expectations. I have never before experienced such excellent care, a caring approach, sensitivity and, indeed, such a homely atmosphere in a hospital. I can say without exaggeration that this time I almost didn’t want to leave the hospital. Chief physician, I take my hat off to your ward assistants, nurses, physiotherapists, doctors, as well as the administrative and other staff; I think you have every right to be proud of them.I don’t know how else to thank you other than in this way – thank you all for everything you’ve done for me. Hello, I’d like to single out two radiology assistants who were wonderfully empathetic and accommodating towards the needs of my son, N. V., who is afraid of physicians. My son needed to have an MRI scan, which he was absolutely terrified of. Thanks to the radiology assistants, my son did not need to be put under anaesthesia, and thanks to these two – I would go so far as to call them ‘angels’ – the scan went smoothly and my son did not suffer the trauma he had experienced at previous departments in other hospitals. For this, they deserve my heartfelt thanks – on my son’s behalf, I would say. Unfortunately, I didn’t note down their names, but I’m sure it will be possible to look them up in the system. I would at least like to express my sincere gratitude in this way.
