The Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Haematology (or OKBH) performs basic and special examinations of biological material. This department works around the clock on routine and specialised biochemical and haematological procedures. In 2020, we received over 39,000 requests for laboratory testing and collected approximately 120 liters of samples for biochemical testing. And do you know how long it takes us to find out your blood type, for example? We know it within 20 minutes. All test results are then sent to patients electronically.
Spectrum of tests in our laboratory
- Basic biochemical tests of commonly obtained biological materials (blood, urine, punctate)
- specialised haematological, coagulation and isoserological blood tests
- biochemical tests (determination of hormones, tumour markers, drug concentrations and other tests in various biological materials)
- consulting and consultancy services in the field of clinical biochemistry and clinical haematology
- related logistical services associated with laboratory investigations (dispensing of special sampling and auxiliary materials, transport of materials including collection of materials from the catchment area, collection point for other laboratories)
