We went to Legoland with our staff!

23. 9. 2021

At the beginning of September, employees of our healthcare facilities went on a day trip to Legoland in Günzberg, Germany, to enjoy a day of fun and unforgettable experiences.

More than 280 employees and their families from the Hořovice Hospital, the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun and the Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Centre took part in the trip, which was largely paid for by the holding company.
Visitors were able to enjoy a total of 64 attractions in 10 themed worlds and enjoy building with more than 55 million LEGO bricks.

There was only positive feedback on the event. As an example for all of them we present a letter in full from Veronika Fojtová, a physiotherapist from the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun.

"I would like to express my gratitude to the hospital management for the bonuses for employees that I used this year, and to Mrs. Lucie Liška for the great ideas and energy spent on their implementation.
I have already written about the great event at Zoo Dvůr Králové, now I would like to share my impressions from Legoland. It was a one-day trip, which I was a bit apprehensive about, because there is always someone who can plausibly outline all the possible problems associated with getting up in the morning or the long journey. But the fears were unnecessary. Especially regarding the possible discomfort on the bus or the length of the route. The buses were air-conditioned, comfortable, and one could even use the toilet if necessary. We took the bus with Sofcha with a kind, patient and helpful driver, to whom please also say thank you. Our guide provided us with sufficient information and interesting facts about the places we passed along the way.
We arrived at Legoland slightly late as we managed to accumulate minutes waiting for each other at two scheduled stops along the way, and there was also a bit of traffic in Germany. Upon entering the park, however, we were engulfed in the atmosphere and started running through each attraction with the goal of completing as many as possible. The first was the roller coaster just to the right of the entrance and after Sofche's enthusiastic reactions, it was clear that roller coasters were a priority. We made it through all the big ones. It was "bomb" as Sofcha exclaimed on each finish. And also "I want more". However, that would really require a lot more time and maybe choosing a different day than Saturday. The wait in the queues was long, although all the kids in our group quickly realised there was no other way and patiently made it through. The time pres was also an advantage at the end of the day, when we had first planned to shop at the lego shop, but the queue before entering the shop was enough of an excuse for the kids and we may have saved a little :-).
The trip back was uneventful, many of the kids fell asleep quickly and even us adults dozed off after a day of cheering, excited shouts and lots of impressions. It was a really nice day and I'm sure not only me and Sofcha would like to do it again. After all, Sofi has already asked her parents several times when she will go to Legoland again :-)."
