We supported the charity run

This year we participated in the 4th annual charity run, the proceeds of which are intended for the activities of Charity Beroun, which focuses primarily on supporting the elderly of the Beroun district.

"I am very pleased with the support we receive from the AKESO holding, which includes the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun and the Hořovice Hospital. On behalf of our organization I would like to thank you very much for this support. The Run for Charity, which we organized for the fourth time this year, will again serve those most in need. This year, given the situation with coronavirus, we will use these funds mainly to support the field nursing service and to help people suffering from Alzheimer's disease," said Petr Novák, director of Charity Beroun.

Although there were not as many runners this year as in previous years, it was a very nice meeting, which was held in a friendly spirit. The total amount raised during the event reached CZK 60,000, with our hospitals contributing CZK 20,000.

Healthcare professionals from our hospitals also participated in the race. "I ran last year as well, so I had no doubts at all that I would run again this year. When you combine good weather and sports enthusiasts, it guarantees a successful event, and it also supports a good cause. I hope I will place well," said Jana, a nurse at the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun.

The participants of the run warmed up before the race under the guidance of professionals.

The programme also included a performance by small majorettes Berounské hvězdičky.
