"We are the only ones to open a new medical facility during the coronavirus pandemic," said AKESO Holding owner Sotirios Zavalianis. "Top experts from the Hořovice Hospital will work here and will provide our patients with high quality diagnostic and medical care. If patients need follow-up care after visiting our centre, both the Hořovice Hospital and the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun are ready to provide it," he added.
The Diagnostic Centre of the Hořovice Hospital will provide care of a general pediatrician and other specialist care in the offices of paediatric pneumology and allergy, paediatric orthopaedics, paediatric gynaecology and paediatric neurology under one roof. It will also house a urology clinic and a nutrition and paediatric haemangioma clinic. In addition to caring for paediatric patients, the centre is also ready to provide healthcare for adult clients in the areas of rheumatology and gynaecology.
One of the most modern radiodiagnostic workplaces in Central Europe has been built within the centre, which is equipped, among other things, with a Siemens Magnetom Vida magnetic resonance machine. It is a device with high-quality digital tissue recording, allowing medical specialists access to complicated examinations that patients would otherwise have to undergo invasively.
"We also have special glasses for our clients that project selected audiovisual programmes to the patient during the examination. This will be especially appreciated by patients who suffer from a fear of enclosed spaces or children, for whom the projection will help overcome their fear of the examination," said Pavel Scholz, the centre's director.
The modern and state-of-the-art environment will also offer two children's play areas to make children feel as natural and safe as possible. Parents with children can visit the centre at any time, meet directly with the staff and then decide on any examination.
