The first newly renovated building of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Medicine, which was inaugurated on 10 December, is a gift for this year's Christmas, both for patients and medical staff. Many of the guests who attended the event sincerely appreciated the beautiful modern, cultural environment of both the ward facilities and the rooms, equipped with sanitary facilities, reclining beds and a TV set, as is becoming quite commonplace at Beroun Hospital.During the small ceremony prepared for the opening, the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony could not be missed, which was attended by Senator Jiří Oberfalzer, the Mayor of Beroun, Ing. Šárka Endrlová, the owner of the Beroun hospital ing. Sotirios Zavalianis, the representative of Jessenia and the current head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Medicine, MUDr. Jan Calta, and the new head of the department, MUDr. Ondřej Horáček, who will start after the New Year.
The reconstruction works will continue smoothly after the relocation of the existing department to the new premises and the vacating of another building of the former internal medicine department, at the end of which the bed capacity of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Medicine should be around 100 beds in about two years.
The opening, which brought with it the possibility of moving the LDN to the reconstructed premises where the rehabilitation department was temporarily located, has in fact become a historical milestone - all patients of the hospital will already be in the new, reconstructed premises.
