Our centre’s team of qualified physiotherapists uses tried-and-tested analytical and neurophysiological techniques to help patients recovering from injuries and operations, as well as those with neurological conditions, spinal pain and other health issues affecting the musculoskeletal system.
Individualised therapy tailored to the patient’s specific needs
Every patient comes to us with different problems and different goals. That is why our work is based on individualised therapeutic exercise, in which the physiotherapist designs a tailor-made programme according to the specific patient’s medical condition.
As part of our individual physiotherapy, we primarily use:
Neurophysiological methods
These specialised techniques help to improve muscle strength, coordination, postural stability and the quality of gait. They are particularly suitable for patients with neurological conditions, those who have suffered a stroke or brain injury, as well as for patients with poor posture, scoliosis or breathing difficulties.
In our therapy, we use, for example, the Vojta method, the Bobath concept, PNF, DNS, sensorimotor stimulation and spiral stabilisation according to Dr Smíšek.
Fitness and analytical methods
These procedures are aimed at increasing range of motion, strengthening weakened muscles and facilitating a return to normal activities. They are used primarily for patients following orthopaedic surgery, after injuries or in cases of long-term muscle weakness.
Gait and mobility training
Restoring independent movement is also an important part of rehabilitation. Physiotherapists help patients with walking training, standing up, and the correct use of assistive devices such as crutches, walking sticks or walking frames.
Education and home exercises
Physiotherapy involves not only the exercises themselves, but also providing guidance to the patient and their loved ones. We will teach you how to continue your rehabilitation correctly at home, thereby supporting the long-term benefits of the therapy.
Modern equipment-based rehabilitation
We also use specialised rehabilitation equipment during therapy to aid a safe and effective return to movement.
As part of their rehabilitation, patients can make use of modern technologies such as stabilometric platforms with visual feedback, mechanical spinal decompression and robot-assisted therapy. Under the expert guidance of physiotherapists, these innovative methods support the restoration of motor functions, improve stability and balance, and facilitate a safe return to normal daily activities.
Benefits of group exercise
In addition to individual therapy, we also offer group therapeutic exercise sessions. Exercises take place in small groups under the guidance of experienced physiotherapists and are tailored to specific types of conditions.
Groups are designed, for example, for patients with back pain or neurological disorders. The rehabilitation programme also includes aquatic exercises, which allow for gentle movement with less strain on the joints and spine.
Physiotherapy for paediatric patients
We also provide outpatient physiotherapy care for children. We most commonly help with poor posture, scoliosis, flat feet, motor development disorders, post-traumatic conditions or neurological disorders.
For pre-school children, a referral from a paediatric neurologist or paediatrician is required to begin rehabilitation.
