A total of 40 crews participated in this year's race. There was great interest among the hospital staff, so crews were formed for five boats, with one of the boats placing in a respectable 25th place with its times. This year's race took place at the turn of the school year in the camp near Berounka.
"It was an unforgettable experience. It is always nice when people with enthusiasm for sport come together. The mood was great, only the weather was not very good," commented Kristýna Kronďáková, assistant to the management of the Hořovice Hospital. "It was an amazing teambuilding event. Even though we belong to one company, there are not many occasions when we can meet our colleagues from Hospital Hořovice and Multiscan Pardubice. Throughout the day there was a friendly atmosphere in our facilities, even during the race when we competed against each other," added Pavla Košková, head occupational therapist from the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun.
"We always like to see the staff socialising outside the work environment. Especially in healthcare, it is important that people get along in the workplace. We are preparing more joint events for employees. For example, a bowling match or a volleyball tournament will take place in the autumn," says Andrea Kropáčová, Head of the Human Resources Department at Hořovice Hospital.
