Internal Medicine Department with an Intensive Care Unit

The Internal Medicine Department, which includes an intensive care unit, provides preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic care—both outpatient and inpatient—within the defined scope of its specialty. In caring for its patients, the department works closely with other specialized facilities, particularly Hospital Hořovice, the Cardiology Center in Prague-Na Homolce, Motol University Hospital, and IKEM. The modernly equipped department features single- to triple-occupancy rooms with adjustable beds, private bathrooms, televisions, and Wi-Fi access. The outpatient clinic provides laboratory sampling for patients, carried out by trained staff.

This facility serves as a specialised healthcare centre, bringing together patients for outpatient sampling of blood, urine or other biological materials. Samples are taken here by experienced nurses and the collected material is immediately forwarded directly to the laboratory at Beroun Hospital, or to other laboratories, depending on the analysis to be carried out. The establishment of a sample collection room within the outpatient wing of the hospital’s internal medicine department enhances patient comfort, as they are not required to leave the building and all necessary care is provided in one place.

Samples are taken from Monday to Friday between 7 am and 10 am.

The OGTT test for pregnant patients is carried out from Monday to Friday at 7.00 am.
