World Physiotherapy Day: Thanks, a bit of a rest and a great atmosphere

8. 9. 2026

Today we mark World Physiotherapy Day, which has been celebrated worldwide since 1951. Physiotherapy plays an irreplaceable role in patient care, helping patients to regain mobility, independence and a zest for life following injuries or illnesses. However, prevention is also important, as active movement helps to prevent pain and keeps the body in good shape.

At the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun, we value the hard work and dedication of our specialists. We therefore organised an afternoon of relaxation and informal socialising today for our physiotherapy team across the entire AKESO group.

Our colleagues enjoyed a relaxing time over some tasty refreshments, tried their hand at making small, creative gifts for themselves and their loved ones, and everyone received a small gift as a token of our appreciation for their daily dedication.

We wish all our physiotherapists good health, plenty of energy and joy in their work! And how can you celebrate this day? Perhaps by treating yourself to a walk or some other form of physical activity.
