On Saturday 16 March, the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun organized a trip to Brno for its employees. Specifically to the TITANIC exhibition at the Brno Exhibition Centre. She also invited her colleagues from the nearby Hořovice Hospital. It was clear that the trip was a hit with the employees right away, because it was full within 4 days. We set off early in the morning and thanks to the smooth journey on D1 we were there in advance. After waiting in line for a while, the entire 63-strong team of colleagues walked through the door and into the past.
The whole display is absolutely breathtaking from the early days of the construction of this unique ship, right up to the moments of her tragic accident. Not only that, but the exhibition also places the various milestones in the fate of the ship and its passengers in world history. There is a lot to see. From period footage of the ship's construction, to the many original artefacts that have been recovered from the ocean floor, to faithful recreations of the first and third class cabins. At times, the visitor feels as if they have actually been on the Titanic. The atmosphere and life on the ship can also be felt in the original exhibits such as porcelain, furniture and passengers' personal items such as jewellery, handbags, perfumes and clothing. One of the greatest experiences is the chance to touch an iceberg. This chilly experience only completes the image of the tragic accident of the dream ship.
