Leading experts from renowned institutions in the Czech Republic who deal with various aspects of the issue were invited to actively participate in the conference. Thanks to this, the participants of the conference could get acquainted with the most modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. There were successive presentations on the anatomy and kinesiology of the pelvic floor, pelvic floor disorders in neurological diseases and pelvic injuries, others dealt with rehabilitation treatment of urinary incontinence. The paper by Zuzana Šerclova, MD, head of the surgical department of the partner hospital Hořovice, was devoted to anorectal dysfunction in surgical patients, and a follow-up paper, focused on rehabilitation in anorectal dysfunction, was presented by Milena Kolářová, MD, from the Rehabilitation Centre of the Beroun Hospital. In this area, the cooperation between the surgical department of the Hořovice Hospital and the Rehabilitation Centre of the Beroun Hospital is successfully developing.
