It was festively concluded on October 15th with a pleasant afternoon in the hospital park, where all guests could not only see the new sculptures, paintings from the morning plein air painting workshop led by ac. painter Helena Slavíková Hrušková or several smaller works in stone by the guests of the symposium, but also listen to the beautiful music performed by the chamber ensemble UNI Quartet, composed of players from the National Theatre Orchestra, feel the music with movement during the modern expressive dance of the members of the dance group Rytmus Úvaly and in the evening have fun with the well-known hits of the popular Slovak Elán performed by the band Baraka Elán Revival from Prague.
The owner of the hospital ing. Sotirios Zavalianis has built a state-of-the-art, modern medical facility in Beroun, with the best reputation and a certain added value - with a great emphasis on the aesthetics of the environment. That is why he did not hesitate to welcome the sculpture symposium at the hospital and to provide financially for it. The artist Jiří Fürst, the creator of one of the sculptures in the park, became the sponsor of the symposium. The participants of the symposium - academic sculptors Monika Immrová, Ladislav Janouch, Eva Míčková, Anna Plačková, Laco Sorokáč, František Svátek, Daniel Talavera and Milan Vácha, members of different generations in sculpture art, offered in their works diverse creative approaches - from depictions of realism, through expressive directions, to variations of abstract forms. If you ever visit the Beroun hospital, you can see for yourself. It is well known that encounters with art can elevate life, bring moments of relaxation, calm and powerful experience. To help heal the soul. And this is certainly the moment when medical treatment can harmonize with the environment in which it is provided. In the Beroun hospital, this dimension is undoubtedly perceived very intensely by its owner. He is certainly rewarded by the fact that not only the people around the art, now specifically the guests of the symposium closing, but also many visitors and patients of the hospital highly appreciate it.
