Senator for Beroun Jiří Oberfalzer (ODS) is regularly interested in the health care in the region and has already visited the Beroun hospital several times. With the owner of the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun ing. Sotirios Zavalianis again in October and was particularly interested in the progress of the completion of the Rehabilitation Centre at the hospital. However, the debate also focused on the overall state of the Czech health care system, the issue of health insurance companies and, above all, the further development of the hospitals in Beroun and Hořovice. "I must deeply bow to ing. Zavalianis to bow my imaginary hat. The development of the Beroun hospital, as well as the Hořovice hospital, is fantastic and proves that if one does business and invests wisely in the healthcare sector, it must not only sustain itself, but also develop in the most modern European trend," said Senator Jiří Oberfalzer after the meeting.
The Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital is undoubtedly at a high level. Not only thanks to the charming exterior and beautiful park, top-quality equipment, but mainly to the most important thing - quality professional care, which is highly appreciated by patients. The Rehabilitation Centre of the Beroun Hospital is today the largest facility for early medical rehabilitation in the country. Thanks to the high quality equipment and staffing, the centre can perform all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures used in medical rehabilitation. All forms of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy are provided. There is a speech therapist, a clinical psychologist and a prosthetist. Increasingly, special diagnostic and therapeutic David machines are also used. Diagnostics and therapy are facilitated in many cases by a modern kinesiology laboratory. Thanks to this, the Rehabilitation Centre is able to provide comprehensive medical rehabilitation to a wide range of patients, especially patients with neurological disorders, after orthopaedic and spinal surgeries, after polytrauma and patients with musculoskeletal disorders. This care is only possible because of the quality facilities that other departments at the hospital provide to the centre. Particularly important is the cooperation with the hospital's internal medicine department, whose doctors provide concierge services at the centre and, if necessary, hospitalise its patients.
