The change that the Beroun Hospital is undergoing in all aspects is really quite fundamental, but still not everything is finished - work on its reconstruction continues. The summer months were no exception. In July, the crumbling coal shed and old garages disappeared, and the space created is now being adapted for further use. For example, the reconstruction work on the wall around the entire hospital grounds is continuing. In fact, this wall, which was used to enclose the hospital grounds in 1929, is being rebuilt from the original material. The front part of the new façade on Hall E, the former internal medicine ward, is almost complete, and the substantially renovated ground floor will soon be opened, extending the outpatient facilities of Hall D, which opened last December and houses the physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation department. For example, there will be a gymnasium, additional space for physical therapy, a psychologist's office, a speech therapist's office, and a separate reception area for patients; the office of the entire department will also be relocated from Building D to the ground floor, which is more accessible to patients. The construction of the inpatient ward continues on the floors of Hall E. The Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Medicine of the Beroun Hospital will not only have a much larger bed capacity after the completion of the entire complex, but also all the necessary facilities. Zavalianis and the professional representative MUDr. Calta believe that in Beroun patients will have one of the most modern rehabilitation facilities in the country in no distant future.
