Proctology focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the rectum and large bowel. These conditions are often associated with feelings of embarrassment; however, seeing a specialist at an early stage is crucial for rapid relief from symptoms and the prevention of more serious complications.
How can we help you at our clinic?
At our specialist proctology clinic, we diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions and symptoms:
- Haemorrhoids (all stages)
- Anal fissures and fistulas
- Pilonidal sinus (anal anomaly/hair follicle cyst)
- Inflammatory diseases and rectal prolapse
- General problems in the anal region
- Pre-operative consultations and post-operative check-ups
- Minimally invasive outpatient procedures and modern surgical techniques
We place great emphasis on minimally invasive procedures and patient comfort. We carry out a range of procedures directly in the outpatient clinic without the need for hospitalisation.
Outpatient care: Minor surgical procedures in the rectal area (e.g. treatment of haemorrhoids using the Barron ligation technique, removal of polyps or fistula irrigation).
Surgical care: Where a surgical solution is required, we utilise conventional, stapler-based and state-of-the-art laser procedures:
Laser haemorrhoid surgery (LHP)
Laser surgery for pilonidal cysts (SiLAC)
Laser treatment of fistulas (FiLAC)
Laser treatment of anal fissures (LAFiP)
Aftercare: Following surgery, patients remain under the long-term supervision of specialists at our clinic until they have fully recovered.
