Although Nurses' Day is always held on 12 May, the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun prepared a celebration for the representatives of this profession only this Thursday. The event was in a festive spirit and expressed gratitude for their tireless work.

The hospital's director , Tomáš Petsinis, thanked all the nurses for their care and concern they provide to the hospital's patients every day. "Without your work and dedication, our hospital could not function the way it does. You are the heart and soul of our healthcare team," said Director Petsinis.

One of the many surprises for everyone present was actor Tomáš Hanák, who has undergone rehabilitation here several times and thus has a very warm relationship with the hospital. After an opening word of thanks, he took his hat off to the work of the nurses and threw it away. "I have been an honest patient, so I can say from my own experience that I am grateful for all the nurses who put their hearts into what they do every day," said Hanak. He didn't forget to brag about how well he is walking thanks to rehab. "It was a very pleasant surprise to see Mr. Hanák here again and I am glad that his humour has not changed at all. Once again he entertained the whole neighbourhood," recalled nurse Jana about his stay at the Rehabilitation Centre.

Another very popular station was the make-up artist, who put on make-up and advised the interested women how to take care of their skin properly. The busiest place, however, was the well-known fortune teller Hanka Zýková. She offered the eager nurses an insight into their future.

For others, creative workshops were prepared where they could make spring wreaths and resin jewellery symbolizing renewal and new beginnings, typical for this time of year.

"On behalf of the entire team of nurses of the internal medicine outpatient clinics, I would like to thank you very much for a very pleasant afternoon full of fun and well-being, which the management of our hospital prepared for us," wrote station nurse Dagmar Biskupová after the event.
