The Healthcare 2023 conference was held under the auspices of Prime Minister Petr Fiala and Health Minister Vlastimil Válek, who was also one of the 39 speakers. In total, 545 guests attended the event. The main topics were the priorities of the Czech Presidency of the EU, obstacles and opportunities in the digitalization of Czech healthcare and long-term care.
The rich expert programme also included the topic of hospitals, with the participation of AKESO Holding's Director of Development and Innovation František Vlček as a guest. During the three-hour-long debate, topics such as new developments in the reimbursement decree, the financial outlook for the coming year or opportunities to increase efficiency in hospital care were discussed.
"Healthcare 2023 once again this year provided a quality platform for discussing the pressing issues of the current healthcare system. I appreciate that representatives of different groups, from the ministry to health insurers to health service providers, came and managed to discuss together. I am pleased to have been able to represent the viewpoints of a large private provider in such critical areas as cost-effectiveness, staffing stability, and payment for quality. We can only hope that at least some of what has been said will eventually find its way into practice and move our healthcare system forward," said František Vlček.
