The event is regularly organized by the town of Beroun in cooperation with local units of the Integrated Rescue System of the Central Bohemia Region and the aim is not only to show the work of firefighters, police and paramedics, but also to raise awareness of safety measures and prevention.
The programme included various demonstrations, competitions and activities for children. Our stand was again very popular, as it introduced the AKESO medical holding to the passers-by, and especially the local Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun and the nearby Hořovice Hospital.
Children and adults alike had the opportunity to see the transport ambulance and try out how life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is performed. The whole process was guided by paramedic Tomáš Kincl. In the meantime, his colleague Zuzana Palivcová showed the interested people the treatment of various injuries. Dozens of small "bandaged patients" then left the stand.
We are already looking forward to next year's meeting!
