At the end of 2022, the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun organized a Christmas Fair, in which the hospital employees participated. For two weeks, a collection of unwanted gifts, Christmas decorations, books and other items was held, which were subsequently sold at the fair.
The fair included nominating any deserving non-profit organization to which the proceeds were donated. Proceeds from the fair went to the organization SpoluSvět, which supports and connects parents of children with disabilities in the Beroun region. It is made up of four action-oriented mothers of so-called "special" children, as they refer to themselves. Lenka has a daughter with pharmacoresistant epilepsy, Jitka and Andrea have a son with Down syndrome and Ladislava has two sons with Asperger's syndrome. All of the ladies actively address the challenges of fate and organize a club for parents of children with handicaps called Happiness. In the Czech Republic there is a painful lack of caring persons. Parents get together to get away from the demanding daily routine and talk for a while.
It is important to meet and share joys and sorrows. In addition to meetings, TogetherWorld organises workshops, art therapy and music therapy for children.
The Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun raised CZK 5.000,- for their activities. If you would like to make a donation, check out spolusvet.cz.
