Chief of Medicine Ondřej Horáček lectured at a prestigious conference on rehabilitation

On Tuesday 17 April, a prestigious rehabilitation conference with international participation took place at the Clinic of Rehabilitation Medicine at the VFN in Prague 2, Albertov. The main theme of the conference was "Rehabilitation from different perspectives".

The conference was held on the occasion of the ninetieth birthday of the founder of modern Czech rehabilitation, Prof. Jan Pfeiffer, MD. The conference featured lectures by leading experts from abroad and the Czech Republic, e.g. Prof. Pavel Pafko, Prof. Pavel Kolář, etc.

Ondřej Horáček, M.D., Ph.D., the head of the Jan Calta Rehabilitation Centre, was also invited by the organizers to actively participate in the conference. In his contribution, the Beroun Chief Medical Officer informed the conference participants about all the activities that take place in the Beroun centre. He mentioned in detail his own experience with rehabilitation of a group of patients after stroke and the results achieved in the Rehabilitation Centre for these patients. He also discussed the unresolved moments in the current system of care for patients after stroke.
