Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital organizes the third Sculpture Symposium

25. 7. 2018

On Tuesday, 24 July, the third year of the sculpture symposium began in the hospital park. The theme of this year's symposium is the legends of the Middle Ages. The organizer of the symposium is Jiří Fürst, who approached several renowned sculptors.

"In 2015 I accepted the offer of the owner of the hospital Ing. Sotirios Zavalianis to complete the exteriors and park of this hospital with stone sculptures made of Goriitsa sandstone and Sliven marble through symposia. In this way, we have offered visitors and users of the hospital an artistic and aesthetic experience and an open-air gallery," explains Jiří Fürst, the tradition of the Beroun symposia.

This year, Denis Anfilov, Michal Blažek, Barbora Blahutová, Rastislav Jacko, Andrej Neméth, Martina Chloupá, Anna Wernerová and Miro Žáčok will take part in the symposium. The third sculpture symposium in the Beroun hospital will last for two months and will be officially closed in the second half of October with an opening ceremony, which will be accompanied by a catalogue with medallions of the artists and mainly photographs from the symposium.
