They also used their visit to discuss with the hospital staff and to present and hand over the Patient's Guide published last year by the Ministry of Health. The fact that they liked the hospital and - most importantly - found enough topics to exchange opinions and explain some of the problems that bother the owners of the hospital is evidenced by the length of the visit, which was extended by more than an hour compared to the original plan.
Both guests from the Ministry of Health appreciated the great effort that is already bringing concrete results - to make the Beroun hospital a medical facility that will be nice, modern, with a background of quality professionals. One where the patient, who already has enough problems with his illness, will feel good.
Both Marek Šnajdr and the owner of the hospital, Sotirios Zavalianis, but not only him, also opened a number of tricky issues that, thanks to the current health care system and the reimbursement of care, still complicate many things in the operation of a medical facility. Both Marek Šnajdr and Markéta Hellerová agreed that the Beroun hospital, in which the new owner has already invested hundreds of millions of crowns, would not look like this today if it had not been privatized and would not be sought out, as it has been more and more recently, by patients from all over the country.
