The Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital is expanding its services with ten new specialized physiotherapy and occupational therapy outpatient clinics. The new workplaces, which will open in June, will offer patients of all ages cutting-edge care, modern technology and unique therapeutic approaches that are unparalleled in the Czech Republic.

Among the main innovations is Spondyloambulance, focused on the diagnosis and treatment of back pain from the cervical to the lumbar spine. It will be dominated by a unique robotic spinal decompression system, which, combined with proven physiotherapy techniques, will bring patients effective yet gentle therapy.

A physiotherapy outpatient clinic specializing in movement development from newborn to adolescence will open for children. It will provide individual care focused on the specific needs of children's movement development.

Another new outpatient clinic will focus on pelvic floor disorders - for both men and women, including postpartum or postoperative care and treatment of incontinence. The new outpatient rehabilitation concept will also include group exercise in the Redcord system, which allows pain-free movement in relief and is suitable for patients with limited mobility or chronic pain.

Occupational therapy care is also being modernised. The new outpatient clinic will offer upper extremity and cognitive therapy using robotic exoskeleton and experiential feedback systems. The target group is patients after strokes, with Parkinson's disease, orthopedic injuries and other neurological diagnoses.

"Our goal is to provide patients with comprehensive, personalized and most effective rehabilitative care. We combine traditional therapeutic approaches with state-of-the-art technology, greatly increasing our patients' chances of returning to a full life," says Mgr. Jakub Pětioký, Deputy for Rehabilitation of the Beroun Rehabilitation Centre of MUDr. Jan Calta.

The Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital has long ranked among the best-equipped facilities of its kind not only in the Czech Republic but also in Central Europe. The care of patients here combines the professional approach of qualified doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other specialists with comfortable facilities in the inpatient and outpatient services.

Patients with musculoskeletal disorders, orthopaedic surgeries, patients with neurological and neurodegenerative diseases, transplant patients and others can find highly professional care here. The Centre cooperates with leading teaching hospitals, provides professional practice for students and is accredited by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic as a teaching centre.
