Specifically, two boxes of beautiful socks, which made not only the nurses happy, but especially our patients. The crocheted octopus, designed primarily as an aid for fine motor training, immediately became the mascot of the ward.
"We are very grateful to the skilful seniors from Babikov and I hope you will see in the photos how happy we are. Unfortunately, the drapes prevent us from doing so. There are never enough socks on our ward," said the new station nurse Barbora Hauserová during the handover. The Babíkov Association also supported our sister hospital in Hořovice, specifically the children's inpatient ward. "The non-profit association Babíkov z.s. tries to integrate the elderly back into life. To show them that they are still needed and that they have something to teach us. Seniors from the homes of the elderly or from the neighbourhood of the association create beautiful products such as these knitted socks and toys for children or the long-term ill," described the activities of the association Alena Vorhemusová.
