MUDr. Havel, Emeritus Chief of Beroun Hospital, died

On Friday, 31 July, the former head of the Beroun hospital's internal medicine department, the well-known and popular MUDr. Vladislav Havel (pictured here with his son Tomáš in 2009 during the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the opening of the hospital in Beroun) died at the age of 92. MUDr. Havel was the oldest living doctor in the Beroun region and he survived several of those he "taught" into the beautiful medical profession. His patients, former colleagues and many others whom he met not only in his medical practice but also at concerts, exhibitions and other events will remember his humanity, wisdom and extraordinary skill as a glossator.

The funeral of Vladislav Havel, M.D., will take place on August 7 at 1 p.m. in the Ceremonial Hall in Beroun.
