The company is establishing a new development and innovation section, which will be headed by František Vlček, MD, Ph.D., MHA. Until now, he has served as Director of Processes, Quality and Efficiency. He will now be responsible for all development projects, including construction projects and the establishment of new services. AKESO Holding currently has over fifty projects. All of them need to be managed systematically and project-managed, which will be an important task for František Vlček and his team.
In the area of innovation, František Vlček is setting up an intra-holding innovation hub, whose role will be to identify innovative solutions and procedures and then integrate them into existing processes across the AKESO Holding's healthcare facilities. At the same time, it will be challenged by the digitalization of healthcare services and the introduction of new technologies with partner technology companies and startups.
AKESO Holding is one of the leading healthcare providers in the Czech Republic, which includes, among others, the Hořovice Hospital, the Diagnostic Centre of the Hořovice Hospital in Prague, the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun and the Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Centre, which is part of the Complex Oncology Centre of the Pardubice Region. AKESO Holding employs 1,700 people and its turnover reached CZK 4 billion last year. Most of the income is invested by the owner of the holding Ing. Sotirios Zavalianis back into the development and improvement of healthcare.
