High appreciation of the work of the Beroun Hospital laboratory

Since the end of last year, the Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Haematology at Beroun Hospital can boast that it is the only laboratory in the Beroun district that meets the conditions of Audit II for the specialties 801 and 818 (clinical biochemistry and haematology laboratory) according to the international standard ISO 15189. It should be noted that the whole process of obtaining this audit is very complex and demanding.

The fact that the Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Haematology of Beroun Hospital was accredited at the end of last year according to the international standard ISO 15 189 and the National Accreditation Standards for Clinical Laboratories is one of the proofs of this statement."This accreditation is necessary both in relation to health insurance companies and for the whole system. It guarantees a standard quality of laboratory work, comparable to the rest of the healthcare system, not only in our country but also in other countries," says the head of the laboratory, doc. MUDr. Bohuslav Matouš, CSc and adds that it certainly gives the clients of the laboratory a sense of security and confidence, not only because the results obtained are free of errors.
The Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Haematology of the Beroun Hospital provides 24-hour operation and, in addition to basic and specialised examinations of biological material of human origin in the aforementioned specialities, it also carries out consultation and consular activities.
