Kinesiology Laboratory of the Rehabilitation Centre In order to improve the diagnosis and therapy of movement patterns of our patients, the Beroun Hospital purchased two high-tech testing and teaching devices from TECNOBODY.

At the beginning of this year, a kinesiology laboratory was set up in the Rehabilitation Centre for the examination and objectification of mobility disorders. The kinesiology laboratory is located in a separate room on the ground floor of the RCNB, building E, and is equipped with 2 Tecnobody examination devices.
The head of the laboratory is PhDr. Helena Božková, PhD., who, apart from her own diagnostics in physiotherapy, uses the devices in indicated cases also for training of movement skills.

The laboratory is equipped with:

1/ Proprioceptive equipment PRO-KIN PK 252 type B with Trunk system TB - 252 Trunk

is a device that is designed for testing and therapy. It evaluates the correctness of the posture in the gravitational field /physiology and deviations/, allows for accurate evaluation and provides a good basis for drawing up a short-term rehabilitation plan. It consists of a network of sensors that detect the angular movements and the applied load on the swing plate. When the patient interacts with this board, all individual movements are converted into electrical impulses that are transmitted to the PC. The electrical impulses are then processed by special software and can be monitored in graphical form on the PC monitor and not only printed out, but also stored, archived and compared.

Visual feedback is available to the patient, allowing them to make comparisons between what they feel at the proprioceptive (signals from the body's periphery to the brain) and kinesthetic (movement) levels and what is actually happening at the motor level. In this way, the patient can regain the correct proprioceptive and kinesthetic sensation.

2/ With the TB Robotic System - MJS 614 P

The MJS system is a device for examination and physiotherapy of the shoulder. It was designed for use in rehabilitation from the very first acute phase. This device consists of a mechanical support, the purpose of which is to support the patient's limb and thus both assist the patient during exercise and gather information about the range of motion of the shoulder joint. The software developed for this system provides visual feedback, displays the exercises and extracts patient-specific information from the database. As the support of the MJS device moves, the patient can watch the movement on the screen in a 3D view.
