When the trick-or-treaters arrived, the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun joined the collection again. Markéta Petříčková from the Charity even came to carol and sing with her two daughters. Patients of the hospital and medical staff contributed to the collection box. If they did not have anything in their pockets, they could also use cashless payments via QR code for the first time.
The staff of Charity Beroun are donating this year's proceeds mainly to the care of the immobile elderly. They go to their homes to help them with bathing, cleaning and company. Many of them miss more contact with their surroundings and like to talk.
Have you ever tried collecting money from strangers yourself? Markéta Petříčková praises this year's fundraiser mainly because after Covid it is finally possible to do it in person.The nice dimension of the fundraiser is that people are meeting each other again. We've also been to City Hall, the Catholic preschool, businesses, and a retirement home. People want to contribute, in a larger or smaller amount."
This year it came to almost 60,000 more, with people in the Beroun and Hořovice regions contributing 309,000 crowns, which only confirms the fact that Czechs are more generous donors every year. The total proceeds of the three-krale collection this year are more than 159 500 000 CZK.
