It is clear to anyone who visits the Beroun hospital that construction work and other activities related to its transformation into a state-of-the-art modern medical facility are still ongoing. At present, the biggest bustle is, and will continue to be, around the third and final stage, the construction of the Rehabilitation Centre, which has already gained a very good reputation in the not so long time of its existence.
Not only patients, but also experts in this field already rank it among the best equipped facilities of this type not only in our country.The extension of the existing Hall E has four floors at the moment, and when it is completed - expected in the first half of next year - the it will house an extensive hydrotherapy facility including two rehabilitation pools, a gymnasium and physiotherapy rooms for individual physiotherapy for hospitalised patients, facilities for rehabilitation on machines, as well as additional bed capacity, modern changing rooms for staff and a canteen including refreshments.
The final touches are also being made to the large park, which will, among other things, include a space for practicing everyday movement activities - different types of surfaces, overcoming obstacles, and a space for practicing motor skills for the patients of the Rehabilitation Centre. Other improvements to the hospital grounds are also in the works. The construction of a large car park in front of the hospital should begin shortly.
