On 6.2.2013, a professional seminar for nurses and lower medical staff "Positioning and its importance for the patient from the perspective of nursing staff" was held at the Beroun Hospital.
The lecturer was Mrs. Vendula Matolínová, senior physiotherapist from the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague.
In her theoretical presentation, the lecturer introduced the techniques of proper manipulation with immobile patients and patients with different degrees of immobility.
In the practical part, which took place in the premises of the Rehabilitation Centre, the employees had the opportunity to practice their own positioning, as well as the use of compensatory aids for correct positioning of the patient after a stroke, hip and knee joint TEP and the technique of correct sitting, practice standing at the bedside.
