At the end of October, the outpatient section of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Medicine at the Beroun Hospital was expanded with new, modern premises, connected to the existing section opened earlier this year. The outpatient section has largely moved from building D to the rebuilt and adapted ground floor of building E, on the floors of which the construction of additional capacity of the inpatient section of this department is progressing rapidly. In addition to the doctors' surgeries and the department's office, the new building houses the offices of a psychologist and a speech therapist, as well as two gymnasiums and a meeting room designed not only for professional seminars. There is also a separate and more accessible reception desk for patient appointments. The entrance to electrotherapy and other physical therapy procedures is also on the ground floor of building E (instead of the original one in building D). The undoubtedly pleasant environment is enhanced, as in all other departments of the hospital, by the photographs of Jan Calta. This time they are from Karlštejn Castle, often from places inaccessible to the average visitor.

The Beroun Hospital provides comprehensive rehabilitation in the Department of Physiotherapy and Medical Rehabilitation in a well-equipped environment for all those who have problems with the function and pain of the musculoskeletal system - muscles, joints and nerves, whether after injuries, orthopaedic operations or acute diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system. As well as the inpatient section of the department, which is increasingly in demand by patients from many parts of the country, more and more patients are seeking out the outpatient section. Experienced rehabilitation physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, massage therapists, as well as psychologists and speech therapists, as well as their patients, have acquired additional well-equipped premises, providing the most modern facilities for treatment. And let's face it, more and more people need this care and there is a great demand for rehabilitation. The increase in the capacity of the outpatient areas and the extension of the office hours, which have been in place for several months, until late afternoon, is therefore certainly good news for all those who need rehabilitation. As well as the fact that the inpatient part of the ward should also be significantly expanded next year.

When the extension is completed in the next two years or so, it will also provide space for hydrotherapy, including two rehabilitation pools, a gym for group exercise and physiotherapy rooms for hospitalised patients, as well as single rooms, with the now in the Beroun hospital, which is for the most part quite common in the hospital, as well as a loggia, the Department of Physiotherapy and Medical Rehabilitation will undoubtedly be one of the best facilities of this type not only in the Czech Republic. The ever-increasing number of satisfied patients who specifically seek out the Beroun hospital is already the best proof that the Department of Physiotherapy and Medical Rehabilitation has already gained a good reputation.
