And if so, then only with years of training. Instructor and the only Master of Krav Maga - KAPAP in the Czech Republic Ing. Michal Janoušek agrees with this only partially. "Dozens of women have already gone through the self-defence course and would certainly say that self-defence is basically very simple. If it is done smartly and correctly. It is always about preparedness and the element of surprise," said Michal Janoušek.
Krav Maga is the most effective self-defence system in the world and that is why we have prepared a basic course for our employees. During the three-hour training, the instructor introduced 28 colleagues to basic prevention against attack and showed them how to behave and react when attacked. He also gave them a brief description of the typology of aggressors, the phases of a real attack and simple principles of self-defence. Everything he said was immediately available for the participants to try out on each other. Not only the physique of each of them was tormented, but also the psyche. The realization that we can meet an aggressor anywhere and at the same time whether we are able to handle a crisis situation where seconds are decisive was challenging.
And how did you like the course?
"Thank you very much for the self-defence course. It was fun and informative. Just SUPER," responded cardiology nurse Ludmila Sládková.
"We were thrilled with the course, but would greatly appreciate it if it were repeated!" Bára and Aneta, the receptionists of the Rehabilitation Centre, supported the positive impression of the course.
Krav Maga - KAPAP
Krav Maga and KAPAP are 2 systems of real combat and both originated in Israel. They originated in the 1950s and each system has a different founder. Krav Maga was founded by Imi Lichtenfald and KAPAP by Haviv Galisk. Both systems deal with unarmed combat, defense against weapons and the training includes shooting. Krav Maga means "hand-to-hand combat" in Hebrew and KAPAP (Krav Panim el Panim) means "face-to-face combat".
