Possibility of registering new patients with a general practitioner at the Beroun Hospital

The Beroun Hospital has received several inquiries regarding the existence of the GP's office and the possibility of registering new patients. The GP's office in the Beroun Hospital is open and there is a possibility of registering new patients.Perhaps it is not out of place to remind that having "one's own" general practitioner is not an obligation, but a right of every citizen of the Czech Republic who is insured by one of the health insurance companies. It is the general practitioner who should be the closest guide and advisor in the whole health care system.
The general practitioner's office, which can be reached just like other outpatient clinics by calling the outpatient services reception at 311 745 329 or 311 745 272, is extending its office hours at the Beroun hospital from 1 September. Mondays from 2 to 6 pm, Tuesdays from 8 am to 12 pm, Thursdays from 2 to 6 pm and Fridays from 12.30 to 3.30 pm. The fact that twice a week the surgery will be open until late in the afternoon is certainly a great advantage. The fact that the surgery has the direct facilities of a hospital, i.e. diagnostic methods (X-ray, sonogram, accredited biochemistry and haematology departments, etc.) is certainly another advantage.
