The excellent reputation of the Rehabilitation Centre of the Beroun Hospital is spreading very quickly, which is best evidenced by the great interest of patients. Its clients have already included well-known artists and athletes on several occasions. In recent days, it was our famous athlete Imrich Bugár, one of the best discus throwers in the world in the 1980s.

Let's just briefly recall a list of his greatest achievements: a silver medal at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, a gold medal at the 1982 European Championships and another gold medal a year later at the World Championships. And it is also worth mentioning that Imrich Bugár is still the Czech record holder - in 1985 at the competitions in the USA he sent the discus to a distance of 71.26 metres and none of our discus throwers has ever thrown more. He enjoyed his second wave of fame in 2013, when he took part in the StarDance TV competition, where he and his dance partner finished in 3rd place.

"Believe me, it was more challenging than throwing the discus, I lost 10 kg during the training, it was really often hard work, and I definitely didn't expect that nice placement. Moreover, my knee, which I had replaced in 2016, was already bothering me for the first time here in Beroun," recalled Imrich Bugár and reminded that perhaps it is not even necessary to emphasize that he was very satisfied in the Rehabilitation Centre when he returned here again this year. "I sing your praises everywhere and I tell everyone that if you want to undergo quality rehabilitation in a modern, beautiful environment, then definitely in Beroun."
