IV. year of the sculpture symposium started.

Starting today, visitors and patients can meet artists in our park who will be creating sandstone sculptures in front of their eyes over the next two months. The theme for this year's event is DISCOVERING AMERICA - NEW AGE. The organizer of this traditional symposium is Jiří Fürst, who has approached several renowned sculptors. "Already four years ago I accepted the offer of the owner of the hospital Ing. Sotirios Zavalianis to prepare for the exteriors and park of the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun stone sculptures made of Goriitsa sandstone and Slivenec marble through symposia. Since then, we have been offering visitors and patients a view of the sculptures in progress and an open-air sculpture gallery," explains Jiří Fürst, who has been involved in the Beroun symposium tradition. This year, the symposium will be attended by Kamila Housová, Daniela Kartáková, Pavel Míka, Miroslav Mlynář, Jaromíra Němcová, Karolína Neprašová, Martina Niubo, Jan Novotný, Petr Záleský and Veronika Zapletalová. This year's sculpture symposium will be concluded in the second half of October with a gala opening, for which a catalogue with medallions of the artists and photographs from the symposium will be published.
