The Governor of the Pardubice Region, JUDr. Martin Netolický, Ph.D., and the Director of the Pardubice Hospital, MUDr. Tomáš Gottvald, learned about the history of the two Central Bohemian hospitals and were informed about the course of the extensive reconstruction that began with the privatisation of the hospitals in 2007. The politician and the manager had the opportunity to see the reconstructed premises of the Beroun rehabilitation centre and its modern equipment. They walked around the hospital park and got acquainted with the possibilities that the brand new rehabilitation pavilion will soon offer to patients. There, patients will be able to use rehabilitation pools, a gym for various sports activities and hydrotherapy. There will be single rooms for patients and other facilities.
The second part of the tour of the two Pardubice guests took place at the Hořovice Hospital. Hejtman Netolický and Director Gottvald visited the OCHRIP for children, i.e. the Department of Chronic and Resuscitation Care, which, together with the department in Prague's Motol, represents a unique facility in the Czech Republic focused on providing care to chronically ill children. Next, the visitors visited the maternity ward and the new premises of the neonatology in Hořovice, which will be inaugurated in a week, i.e. on 21 October 2014.
The two Pardubice visitors concluded their visit to Beroun and Hořovice by thanking them for the tour and for the information provided. At the same time, they confirmed the high level of existing cooperation between the Pardubice Regional Hospital and the Multiscan Oncology Centre, which has been operating on the premises of the Pardubice hospital for 11 years. They congratulated the owners of the hospitals for their modern concept and medical quality.
