Donation to the Broumy Volunteer Fire Brigade

The new jackets for the competitions made us happy.

At the end of last week, the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital handed over a donation to members of the Broumy Volunteer Fire Brigade. These were new jackets, which will be used in the firefighting competitions of the department. At the same time, a representative of the hospital took a look at the renovated armory, which almost went up in flames at the end of January 2019. The cause was a mechanical failure of the compressor which ruptured and the resulting sparks ignited the leaking oil. The heat was so intense that several manifold lines and other fittings were melted. A Tatra 815, which the municipality of Broumy had reconstructed two years ago, was parked in the garage. The fire damaged most of the plastic exterior parts, including the lighting mast, lights and beacons. Many helpers were involved in the brigade, not to mention the history of this congregation dating back to 1880.

We wish the corps many successful outings, a strong volunteer base and success in competitions.
