Gynaecological outpatient clinic

The gynaecological outpatient clinic of the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun provides women with comprehensive outpatient gynaecological and obstetric care. With the use of modern instrumentation and available screening examinations, it mainly focuses on the care of female organs in its entirety, with an emphasis on prevention, especially of tumour changes. Another focus is on providing the widest possible and most woman-friendly care during pregnancy, with a focus on screening for congenital developmental defects, premature birth and pregnancy-related complications. The gynaecological outpatient clinic includes two specialised outpatient clinics - an ultrasound clinic and an incontinence centre.

Gynaecological care

  • preventive examinations (colposcopy, oncological cytology, abdominal and vaginal ultrasound examinations)
  • diagnosis and treatment of menstrual cycle disorders

  • 1st trimester ultrasound screening (ultrasound examination with a focus on Down syndrome detection - measurement of nuchal translucency, nasal bone detection)
  • 2nd trimester screening - fetal ultrasound examination for diagnosable congenital developmental defects
  • Third trimester screening - biometry (fetal growth in relation to gestational length),
  • Doppler analysis of umbilical cord blood flow and detection of placental function disorders
  • External cardiotocography (simultaneous recording of fetal heart sounds and uterine activity of the pregnant woman)
